I remember really being awe struck by such an unusual, aural name. When I asked about them, all he'd say was, "Just listen. It's probably the best way you're ever gonna understand." At first, this high pitched, like a reverb backlash from an amp, comes on, then some crazy Japanese girl bellows into the mic, spouting random Japanese and English words. Sunday ShoesHis father was a carpenter. He worked twelve to fourteen hour shifts, six days a week and would come home smelling of wood pulp and lacquer. His clothes were tight, and dirty, but dependable. His boots were scuffed almost to the sole and tongue, and the auburn finish now worn down to a turbid blackness. His face was sharp and drained, as if it were carved from salt. On Tuesdays he would sit by the fire and polish his Sunday shoes. He would first grab a piece of rough cloth, lay it down, take out the polish, arrange it by size like a set of hammers or screwdrivers, and then he would scrub clockwise on the boot, lightly, never too hard he said,Sunday Shoes
